	Length: Half-Day (3-hour) Workshop Skill Level: Beginner This appliqué workshop focuses on the very basic techniques of the needleturn appliqué stitch. It is very thorough, beginning with the presentation of Angela’s preferred appliqué tools and techniques and ending with the hands-on application of the appliqué stitch. The pattern, which is presented in Angela's book Needleturn Appliqué The basics and beyond, includes lots of curves and inner points to help you perfect your stitch. 	This wallhanging sized paisley pattern opens the door to a wonderful range of fabric and color opportunities. The application of beginning needleturn appliqué techniques will be the primnary focus of the class while providing the student an intermediate challenge with the opportunity to advance their quilting skills. To complete this design Angela will demonstrate several needleturn appliqué techniques including inside and outside curves, points, stems and reverse applique. The workshop will include a brief discussion on color as well as advice on fabric selection. The pattern, "Budding Paisley is an original design by Angela Lawrence.

	This workshop is for the appliqué student who is ready for a challenge. The workshop will begin with a brief discussion of color, stressing the importance of creating balance and harmony within a five-block floral quilt. Angela will demonstrate her needleturn appliqué techniques during the workshop including the steps to create the four three-dimensional flowers integrated into the pattern. The pattern, “Late Summer Bouquet,” is an original design by Angela Lawrence.

	William Morris
	Length: Four-Day to Five-Day Workshop Skill Level: Advanced During this unique workshop students will use Angela’s "Arts & Crafts Series" prints inspired by the exquisite designs of Sir William Morris to create a personalized "William Morris" appliqué quilt. This workshop includes an instructional lecture on design to inspire students to be creative with their arts & crafts project as well as a brief presentation on the principles of color and fabric selection.
